That special vibe, and I don't mean a vibrator. I'm talknig about when you meet someone and something just clicks without words being spoken.
That happened to me at the local grocery store the other day. The wife was at work and I went to pick a few items up that we forgot on our major grocery day.
I was in the fruit and vegetable isle when I looked up and saw her. She was maybe 5" 5", Not thin, not fat, well maybe a bit on the heavy side but hey, it just added to the attraction. Now her hair, I love long hair, long hair is so feminen it drives me nuts. Her hair was buzzed near the scalp. She didn't have the pallor of a chemo patient so it must have been a style choice on her part. She looked fucking hot.
Think hot like Sinead O"Connor bald, not Brittany Spears bald.
We actually had eye contact and smiled at each other. I picked up some grapples, you know, apples that smell and taste like grapes, and she spoke to me.
"Aren't those awsome? she asked.
Me "Yeah, my wife and daughter go nuts over them!"
Duh! I mentioned a wife and daughter in the same sentence? Well, its not as if I ever take my wedding ring off, but still....
She said " Delicious but pricey"
Me "But price is no object for people you love."
Duh! I shoot myself twice in a minute? That has to be a world record for unmasterful pick up lines imaginable.
Then the light fades away and this huge man steps in the picture and puts his arm over her shoulder and pecks her on the cheek. He was big, bigger than me. Usually I'm the biggest guy in any situation but not here. She must have a thing for big beefy men.
Then I hear a little voice, and it wasn't my concience saying bad Me for having serious lusty thoughts, nor was it some little voice saying "Run you fool" like Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings. It was her kid saying "hi daddy" from the bottom shelf/rack of her cart. I never even noticed the little rug-rat there I was so enraptured with her.
That was that. Nothing happened. But that mutual attraction was something else. Strong and physical it was. It has happened maybe once before in my life and I really liked it.
