12 Jan '08 - 3:23 p.m. The phone rang this morning, I saw from the display it was a friend of the wifes. So I, as only long married couples can do, tossed the unanswered phone over my shoulder ever so cooly, and she caught it. My wife has this talent where she can catch anything if its tossed at her by surprise. Tell her to prepare and it falls, drops or breaks. She can also make a snap judgement not to catch like when I tossed a raw meatball at her. Ellie is a vegetarian. She thought it was her friend too. It wasn't, it was a Texan. A religious one at that. We are tolerant of religions, even Texans, though combining the two seems, I don't know, excesive? Well this guy asked my wife a few questions to confirm who she was!? Then he said Melisa The friend whom we thought was calling, was taken in handcuffs to the psych ward of the hospital. Off we go to pick Tex up and visit. Turns out he and her brother are the only visitors allowed. No sweat of my back, when I have to work in one of those wards I get another maintenance worker to go with me, and visa versa. Odd thing is, She met this guy at the food bank 5 days before Christmas, he was a customer living at the Sally Anne. She works for the food bank. My wife and I volunteer there on occasion. Now He's living with her in her house? Somethings fishy here. This guy gives me the creeps big time. So much so I'd, well I'm not going to mention what I could do to him without provocation, that's how much he creeps me out! Big time! I am wondering what a Texan is doing in Canada, living at the Salvation Army, or was, getting food from the food bank and now is living in a house, all less than 20 days from when they met! Was she slipped something that made her have a psychotic episode? This girl doesn't even do weed, she is a fanatic against all narcotics. I just don't know. Anyone have any ideas? I'm comming up empty here. All I can think of is duct tape, a sturdy chair, some pliers and some loose fingernails.....oh and some pointed and baseless questions. Ah, who am I kidding, we all know that victums of duress will always tell you what they think you want to hear, not what you need to hear to make informed decisions. Let's shelve that plan for now. Any real ideas? This is a real conundrum for me....Later
